ROWHOUSES LÁZNĚ BOHDANEČ II

The family houses Lázně Bohdaneč II are a continuation of the first stage of row houses. This design puts an even greater emphasis on the overall minimalistic nature of the buildings. The basic requirement was to create a sufficiently cosy family housing with all the comfort on an area under 120 m2, while at the same time ensuring the privacy of the inhabitants and an abundance of light. The mass of the houses consists of a simple square prism with an edge ”cut off“ where a terrace overlooking the garden behind the house is located. While the mass itself is quite austere, the materials interact playfully. Through the material used on surfaces, every house is divided into the first and the second floor. The materials on the houses and their floors change, thus creating various combinations. The aim was to make every one of the houses special and to give the buyers the opportunity to choose a combination that is most to their liking.
